According to tooth surface hardness is divided into two categories:
　　HB <350, called soft tooth surface
　　HB> 350, known as the hard tooth surface
　　1.Tooth surface hardness HB <350
　　Process: forging rough → normalizing - roughing → quenching and tempering, finishing
　　Commonly used materials; 45 #, 35SiMn, 40Cr, 40CrNi, 40MnB
　　Features:
　　Has a good overall performance, tooth surface with high strength and hardness, tooth core has a better toughness.
　　Heat treatment after cutting precision up to 8.
　　Manufacturing simple, economical, high productivity, the accuracy is not high.
　　2. Tooth surface hardness HB> 350
　　When using medium carbon steel:
　　Process: forging rough → normal → rough cut → quenching and tempering → fine cut → high, intermediate frequency quenching → low temperature tempering → honing or abrasive running together, spark sparks.
　　Common materials: 45,40Cr, 40CrNi.
　　Features:
　　Tooth surface hardness HRC = 48-55, high contact strength, good wear resistance.
